Budget Amendment #20-035 — Use of Federal Forfeiture Funds for Purchase of an <br />Ultrasonic Cleaning System <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment #20-035 provides for the purchase of an Ultrasonic Cleaning System <br />in the amount of $6,492 for the Police Department using federal forfeiture funds. <br />Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #20-035 will increase the Treasury Equity Share IRS/SS <br />Fund Equipment -Other account #121-0610-521.67-35 and the Treasury Equity Share IRS/SS Fund Other <br />Non-Operating Source account #121-0000-389.90-00 in the amount of $6,492. <br />BA #20-035 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase <br />of an Ultrasonic Cleaning System from federal forfeiture funds in the amount of $6,492. <br />Increase: <br />Account Number: 121-0000-389.90-00 Account Description: Other Non -Operating Source Amount: $6,492 <br />Account Number: 121-0610-521.67-35 Account Description: Equipment -Other Amount: $6,492 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Budget Amendment <br />#20-035 to expend existing federal forfeiture funds in the amount of $6,492 for the purchase of an <br />Ultrasonic Cleaning System. <br />H. Budget Amendment #20-036 — Recognition of Forfeited Proceeds and Related <br />Expense <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment #20-036 provides for the recognition of forfeited proceeds in the <br />amount of $3,786 and its related expense in the amount of $1,709 regarding Casselberry Police Department <br />Criminal Case #201820002198 (Civil Case #2018CA003316). <br />Discussion: Per the 2019 Agreement between the City and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office <br />concerning these matters, the Sheriff's Office has submitted an invoice in the amount of $1,709 for payment <br />of their legal assistance with the forfeiture proceedings. Budget Amendment #20-036 also provides for this <br />expenditure. <br />Budget Impact: The proceeds will increase the Law Enforcement Trust Fund/State Fines/Forfeiture <br />account #104-0610-521.49-00 by $1,709 and decrease the Other Non -Operating Source account #104- <br />
