CASSCLBCRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 13, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />Staff Presentation: Administrative Services Director Andy Brooks stated that Ordinance 20-1532 amends <br />Chapter 52 of the City Code of Ordinances, Human Resources, by providing for criminal history record <br />checks for potential municipal employees, appointees, and/or private contractors for criminal offenses <br />nationwide, and to comply with Florida Statutes Section 166.0442 as it relates to Level II background <br />screening which includes processing of fingerprints. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Administrative Services Director recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 20-1532 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 20-1532 <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 20-1532 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />11. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments.
