RESOLUTION 19-3138 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND <br />AMENDMENT TO THE EXSISTING INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT <br />FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND COMPUTER SUPPORT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the benefit of access to <br />the Florida Criminal Justice network (CJNet), National Crime Information Center (FCIC), the <br />Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC), and the Interstate Identification Index (lII), all <br />hereafter referred to as FCIC, via network connectivity to the Florida Department of Law <br />Enforcement (FDLE); and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office has developed sophisticated law <br />enforcement software which is presently in use by other law enforcement agencies and criminal <br />justice agencies and is supported and maintained by the Sheriffs Office staff on a seven (7) days <br />per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department currently has in effect an Interagency <br />Agreement with the Sheriffs Office effective January 3, 2017 for the provision of criminal <br />justice computer software services including access to FCIC and state/national criminal justice <br />information; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has determined that it is advantageous to accept the <br />Second Amendment to the Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office to allow <br />additional data sharing as listed in Exhibit A. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Second Amendment to the Interagency Agreement for Criminal Justice Computer Services and <br />Support with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office, as set forth attached hereto as Exhibit A, and <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. <br />
