CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of September 23, 2019 — Regular Meeting Page 10 of l l 14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period August 1 2019 through August 31, 2019 Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of August 2019 was contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. Recognized and expressed thanks to Finance Department staff that were instrumental in the development of the budget and millage items that were presented to the City Commission tonight. Shared that a resident of the City of Maitland had recently made a visit to the Public Works Department administration building specifically to compliment the City of Casselberry on all the work that has been done on the City's trails and bike network, and on how well they are all maintained. She expressed her opinion that the City of Casselberry was the most bikeable city in Central Florida. Mr. Newlon expressed appreciation to Public Works staff for the work they do which elicited this type of compliment from a non -City resident. Reminded the City Commission that the Police Department would be hosting its National Night Out event on Tuesday, October Is` from 6-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park. 15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT No report. 16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT • Reminded the City Commission that in addition to the Police Department's National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 1st, the City would also be hosting the Latin Jazz & Art Festival at Lake Concord Park on Saturday, September 28t1i, from 5-9 p.m. 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 No report. Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: • Thanked all staff who had a part in preparation of the 2019-2020 Budget.
