CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 23, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of l l <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period August 1 2019 through <br />August 31, 2019 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of August 2019 was <br />contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information <br />about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />Recognized and expressed thanks to Finance Department staff that were instrumental in the <br />development of the budget and millage items that were presented to the City Commission <br />tonight. <br />Shared that a resident of the City of Maitland had recently made a visit to the Public Works <br />Department administration building specifically to compliment the City of Casselberry on all <br />the work that has been done on the City's trails and bike network, and on how well they are all <br />maintained. She expressed her opinion that the City of Casselberry was the most bikeable city <br />in Central Florida. Mr. Newlon expressed appreciation to Public Works staff for the work they <br />do which elicited this type of compliment from a non -City resident. <br />Reminded the City Commission that the Police Department would be hosting its National Night <br />Out event on Tuesday, October Is` from 6-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• Reminded the City Commission that in addition to the Police Department's National Night Out <br />event on Tuesday, October 1st, the City would also be hosting the Latin Jazz & Art Festival at <br />Lake Concord Park on Saturday, September 28t1i, from 5-9 p.m. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Thanked all staff who had a part in preparation of the 2019-2020 Budget. <br />
