RESOLUTION 19-3124 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSLEBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON OCTOBER 1, 2019 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2020; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry must provide public notice of and hold a public hearing on the tentative budget pursuant to Florida Truth in Millage (TRIM) statute; and WHEREAS, the public notice for the public hearing for the tentative budget was provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property Appraiser in their TRIM notice which was mailed out in August 2019; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the tentative budget; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution is in the best interest of the public health, safety, welfare and well-being of the citizens of Casselberry. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Tentative Budget. The City Commission hereby adopts its tentative budget for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020, as presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this Resolution, with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative budget total $73,109,335. The expenditures are as follows: General Fund - $20,486,316, Other Governmental Funds - $21,634,789, Enterprise Funds - $30,988,230. The budget is based upon gross taxable value of real and personal property of $1,641,328,954. SECTION III. Public Notice. In accordance with the TRIM requirements (F.S. 200.065), within fifteen (15) days of the date of this Resolution, the City Clerk shall publish a Budget Summary in a newspaper of general circulation. The public hearing for the adoption of the final budget and the will not occur less than two (2) days or more than five (5) days after the date the advertisement is first published. SECTION IV. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
