ORDINANCE 19-1516 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />REPEALING AND REPLACING CHAPTER 86, UTILITIES, ARTICLE II, <br />SEWERS, DIVISION 4, BUILDING SEWERS AND CONNECTIONS, <br />SECTION 86-102 OIL AND GREASE PREVENTION PROGRAM WITH <br />SECTION 86-102 OIL AND GREASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has an Oil and Grease Management Program the <br />objective of which is to minimize the introduction of fat-soluble wastes, food particles, and <br />petroleum-based substances to the wastewater collection system; and <br />WHEREAS, this program applies to any non-domestic user who is connected to the City <br />of Casselberry's wastewater collection system where preparation, manufacturing, or processing <br />of food occurs as well as users where auto -related services occur; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing Oil and Grease Prevention Program ordinance and manual have <br />not been updated in over twelve years making it difficult to enforce the program requirements; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, City staff, the City Attorney, and City of Orlando staff worked together to <br />update the ordinance in order to meet the latest oil and grease management standards and protect <br />the City's collection system from future harm; and <br />WHEREAS, words with double underlined type shall constitute additions to the original <br />text and strike thfough type shall constitute deletions to the original text, and asterisks (* * *) <br />indicate that text shall remain unchanged from the language existing prior to adoption of this <br />Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. REPEAL AND REPLACEMENT OF SECTION 86-102. Section 86-102, "Oil <br />and grease prevention program", of Chapter 86, Utilities, Article II, Division 4 — Building <br />Sewers and Connections of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby <br />repealed and replaced with new Section 86-102, "Oil and Grease Management Program" as <br />follows: <br />1 <br />
