Image of back of Casselbery City Hall <br />The City's current official population is estimated to be <br />27,057, a far cry from the population of 407 in 1950. Today, <br />Casselberry encompasses an area of approximately 7.5 <br />square miles. Located within its boundaries are 13 parks, <br />some of which offer recreation such as fishing, basketball <br />and baseball or soccer, while other parks offer a more <br />passive use within the City's neighborhoods. In addition, <br />there are more than two dozen lakes, some of which provide <br />opportunities for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle <br />boarding. Various entertainment events including art <br />exhibits, jazz concerts, blues festivals, car shows and <br />recreational programs for the young and older alike are <br />offered throughout the year and continue to grow in <br />popularity. <br />Casselberry is home to two highly rated public schools - <br />Casselberry Elementary and South Seminole Middle School. <br />Seminole County (in which Casselberry is located) is a <br />highly desired place to raise families due to its reputation for <br />quality education. There are also two private schools <br />located within the City - Lake Forrest Preparatory School <br />and The Geneva School. <br />A diverse mix of commercial and financial establishments <br />can be found within the City, as well as a number of small <br />industrial centers/business parks. For residential housing, <br />small neighborhoods or large gated communities are <br />available at varying price ranges for families, singles and <br />retirees. The City of Casselberry has seen many changes <br />over the years that have transformed it into the vibrant City <br />you see today.
