City of Casselberry <br />Parks & Recreation Advisory Board <br />PRAB Meeting—June 11, 2019 <br />Member Icenhower made a motion to approve the draft memo for recommendations to the City <br />Commission related to park planning for potential voter referendum. Member Lallathin seconded <br />the motion. Motion passed unanimously 4-0. <br />6. Staff Report <br />• Ms. Moore reported on upcoming Summer Recreational Activities which include fitness fun on <br />Saturday, June 22 from 9a.m. — Noon with the "Get Outdoors" event. Enjoy a morning out on <br />Secret Lake kayaking and paddle boarding. The next Art and Music in the Park and The Food <br />Truck Bazaar will be held on June 14 featuring the "Dave Capp Band". She reported that Wirz <br />Park Pool is now open daily Noon — 6 p.m. American Red Cross swim lessons are available for <br />children 3 years and up. Summer Camp Casselberry's 8 -week session is full and a huge success. <br />Camp runs from June 3 through July 26. The Rock N' Blues Cars Event on May 25th had a great <br />turnout and everyone enjoyed all bands especially the headliner Dana Fuchs. Rock N' Blues Art <br />Exhibit which will run through July 25 in City Hall. The Annual City of Casselberry Employee Art <br />Exhibit will begin August 9th and run through September 61h. City Employees and family <br />members are invited to show their artistic skills. <br />• The Casselberry Art House is exhibiting the Artists League of Orange County "Celebrating 66" <br />June 5 — 27th. Two Workshops with Elizabeth St. Hilaire are held on June 22nd. The Casselberry <br />Golf Club has several activity events scheduled which will including the Annual Swing "Fore" the <br />Arts planned for Friday, September 27th followed by the Latin Jazz and Arts Festival on Saturday, <br />September 28tH <br />• The installation of the new playground equipment at Secret Lake Park has begun. <br />7. Board Member Reports: <br />Member Farmer reported that the event with "Dana Fuchs" was fabulous. A lot of people <br />attended. She also promoted the City Employee Art program. <br />Member Lallathin stated that she would promote the Art program through her community. She <br />briefly discussed the Golf Club and reported that she knows several people who would consider <br />membership at the club if offered at a reduced rate for residents. <br />• Member Icenhower reported that the Memorial Day event was a success. <br />8.
