Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency Minutes <br />April 10. 2019 <br />Page 8 <br />Robert Phillips <br />Yes <br />Dan Hale <br />No <br />David Henson <br />Yes <br />Edmund Bakalla <br />No <br />Shelley Costello <br />No <br />Anthony Tizzio <br />No <br />Ed Bowman <br />Yes <br />The motion failed. <br />After a brief discussion regarding tabling the item, Mr. Bakalla made a motion that the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission table LPA 19-08 that would hereby amend the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development <br />Regulations, Section 3-14.3, Permit required for removal to remove the tree permit exemption language for single- <br />family dwellings and duplexes including the draft ordinance and Attachment A to allow staff time to provide the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission with additional information based on tonight's discussion. Mr. Tizzio seconded the <br />motion. <br />Mr. Chris Bowley, Community Development Director, stated that staff would not have much more <br />information to provide to the Planning and Zoning Commission at another meeting. He said staffs mandate from the <br />City Commission is to start a tracking program and not to violate anyone's property rights. <br />A brief discussion regarding tracking trees through the permitting process and the economic effects of <br />waiving the $15 tree removal permit fee for all single-family dwellings and duplexes. <br />Mr. Bakalla amended his motion to table this item to the May 8, 2019 Planning and Zoning Commission <br />meeting so the Planning and Zoning Commission would have an opportunity to do some soul searching and possibly <br />receive additional information.
