Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) means the laboratory determination of the oxygen equivalent <br />expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/L) of that portion of the organic/inorgan-ie matter that is <br />susceptible to oxidation by the standard dichromate reflux method. The COD shall be determined <br />in accordance with procedures set forth in the latest edition of Standard Methods. <br />Chronic Violations means violations in which sixty-six 66) percent or more of all wastewater <br />measurements that were made for the same pollutant or parameter during a six (6) consecutive <br />month period exceed, by any magnitude, the numeric pretreatment standard or requirement <br />including, but not limited to, instantaneous, local pollutant, daily maximum, or monthly average <br />limit, for the same pollutant parameter (40 CFR §403.8(f)(2)(viii)(A)). wastewater ^ -eme *� <br />taken during a six month period exceed the local pollutant limit for- the same pollutant pafamete <br />b any aynotint. <br />City means the City of Casselberry or the City eommission of Casselbefry. <br />City Commission (Commission) means the City Commission of the City of Casselberry. <br />Color means the color of water from which turbidity has been removed and which results from <br />substances in solution. <br />Combined Ss -ewer means a sewer receiving both wastewater and runoff from land or surface <br />(stormwater runoff). <br />Combined Wastestream Formula means a procedure for calculation of alternative discharge <br />limits for industrial facilities where regulated wastestream(s) from a Ceategorical Iindustrial <br />Unser is combined with other wastestream(s) prior to the treatment as set in 40 CFR §403.6(2) <br />and Chapter 62-625.410(6), F.A.C. <br />Commercial means classical commercial properties and establishments served by the City's <br />wastewater systema <br />Commercial Uuser means any person owning an establishment offering lodging, selling goods, <br />either at retail or wholesale, or offering services for sale. <br />Common Oil and Grease Interceptor means an interceptor which receives oil and grease wastes <br />from more than one facility with different operators (owners) or type of activities. <br />Compatible Constituent, Waste, or Pollutant means cC-arbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand, <br />chemical oxygen demand, oil and grease, suspended solids, pH, ammonia, nitrite/nitrate total <br />Kjeldahl nitrogen, total phosphorus and fecal coliform bacteria, plus any additional pollutants <br />identified in the City's NPDES or FDEP permit(s), where the POTW is capable of treating such <br />pollutants, does treat such pollutants, and in fact, does treat such pollutants to the degree required <br />by the aforementioned permits. <br />
