CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />The Deputy City Clerk provided reminders for the following upcoming workshop and events: <br />o Joint Workshop of the City Commission and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, <br />Monday, April 29` at 6:30 p.m. in the Police Department Multi -Purpose Room <br />o EarthFest 2019 — 10t" Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, April 27` from 10:00 a.m. <br />until 3:00 p.m. at Lake Concord Park <br />o Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar, Friday, May 10"' from 6-9 p.m. at <br />Lake Concord Park <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />• Shared that when he was recently on walking tours in Savannah he found that brick pavers <br />were indeed a trip hazard causing him to constantly have to watch where he stepped, and so he <br />felt staff's suggestion to make the pedestrian crossings smooth was a very good thing. <br />• Congratulated staff on "Bike Casselberry Day" and thanked them for their contributions to <br />having the City of Casselberry participate in the Bike 5 Cities event on May 4". <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3 <br />• Attended his first Seminole County Community Alliance meeting on April 17"'. He stated there <br />had not been a quorum present, but there had been a very interesting presentation by a group <br />called Companions for Courage which brings therapy dogs into court or into depositions as <br />companions to provide support for juveniles who have to testify. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Thanked staff who had helped promote and get the City of Casselberry involved in the Bike 5 <br />Cities event on May 4"', stating he was glad to see the City playing an active role in what was <br />going on in Central Florida. <br />• Thanked the City Attorney and the City Manager for being persistent in working towards a <br />successful resolution of the duck hunting issue with FWC. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />• Encouraged everyone to attend EarthFest on Saturday, April 27"', which is celebrating its tenth <br />year and is the largest event of its kind in Seminole County and the second largest in Central <br />Florida. <br />
