ORDINANCE 19-1506 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO <br />AMEND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY <br />PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE FUTURE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FROM SEMINOLE COUNTY MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO CITY OF CASSELBERRY MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR AN ANNEXED APPROXIMATELY 1 -ACRE <br />PARCEL LOCATED AT 547 LAKE HOWELL ROAD, AS DESCRIBED IN <br />SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the subject property described in Section I was recently annexed into the City <br />of Casselberry corporate boundaries by Ordinance 18-1500; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject property described in Section I has a Seminole County Future <br />Land Use designation of Medium Density Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject property described in Section I needs a City of Casselberry Future <br />Land Use designation; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject property provided in Section I of this Ordinance is less than 10 <br />acres, requiring a small-scale amendment to the Colnprehensh e Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, to allow for appropriate future development, such property should be <br />developed consistent with the land uses of neighboring parcels; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.3187, Florida Statutes, establishes a process for adoption of <br />small-scale comprehensive plan amendments including amendments to the Future Land Use Map <br />(FLUM); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency has held a <br />public hearing with due public notice to consider this FLUM amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing considering amendment of the City of Casselberry Future <br />Land Use Map designation for the property hereinafter described, has been duly held by the City <br />Commission of the City of Casselberry,. Florida, and at such hearing, interested parties and citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />Florida, considered the Comprehensive Plan amendment and determined that the Future Land Use <br />designation of the property shall be established as Medium Density Residential, as defined in <br />Future Land Use Element Objective FLU 1, as amended and supplemented, of the Comprehensive <br />Plan of the Cit)) of Casselberry, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, such amendment is permitted, subject to the provisions of Chapter 163 of the <br />Florida Statrttes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
