Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of Ordinance 19-1507 on first reading. Audience Participation: No one carne forward to address Ordinance 19-1507. MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 19-1507 on first reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. 12. OTHER ITEMS A. Award of Bid and Construction Agreement with DB Civil Construction LLC for the Seminola Boulevard Force Main Rehab Project and Related Budget Amendment #19-020 Staff Presentation: Assistant Public Works Director/Water Resources Manager Tara Lamoureux -Bobo stated that this item was a request to award Bid #ITB -2018-0364 and execute an agreement with DB Civil Construction, LLC for the Seminola Boulevard Force Main Rehab Project and approval of related Budget Amendment #19-020 in the amount of $1,813,026. In response to questions from the City Commission, Ms. Lamoureux -Bobo explained that this project would allow the City to treat more wastewater which would reduce the amount of potable water that would be needed to augment reclaimed water in order to serve the City's reclaimed water customers, as it would allow the City to actually produce more reclaimed water for that purpose. Budget Impact: Budget Amendment #19-020 will increase the Water & Sewer Fund Other Non -Operating Sources account #401-0000-389.90-00 and the Water & Sewer fund Distribution and Collection Infrastructure account #401-0751-536.63-40 in the amount of $1,813,025.60. BA # 19-020 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the agreement with DB Civil Construction, LLC for the construction of the Seminola Boulevard Force Main Replacement Project in the amount of $1,813,026. This budget is comprised of a base bid of $1,530,015.00, 10% contingency of $153,002, and a Bid alternate of $130,009.
