The City of Casselberry Lakes Management Advisory Board held a meeting <br />Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 6:34 p.m., in the <br />Casselberry Police Department Multipurpose Room <br />4195 S. US Highway 17/92, Casselberry, FL 32707 <br />Appointed Board Members Present: <br />Laura Hatton <br />Megan Johansson <br />Marc Taylor <br />Tony Tizzio <br />Appointed Board Members Absent: <br />Austin Lasure <br />Audience Attendee: <br />John Casselberry — 700 S. Lost Lake Drive, Casselberry <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Marissa Williams, Natural Resources Officer <br />D. Denyse Wilson, Staff Assistant II (Recording Secretary) <br />1. Call to Order: Chairman Marc Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:34 pm. He began <br />by leading everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />2. Roll Call: Completed by Ms. D. Denyse Wilson. <br />3. Approval of Minutes: Chairman Taylor asked if everyone had read the minutes, and <br />they all responded that they had. Chairman Taylor made a motion to accept the <br />minutes and Ms. Laura Hatton seconded. The motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Old Business: None <br />5. New Business <br />Aquatic Plant Management Updates: Ms. Williams welcomed our two new Board <br />members, Ms. Johansson and Mr. Tizzio. She shared with them that if at any time they <br />need clarification, to please stop her because she would like for everyone to have a <br />clear understanding of discussions. She gave an overview of the format of the meetings. <br />She stated that we have been extremely busy with aquatic plant management. She was <br />not able to have visuals available due to the internet not being operable. The aquatic <br />plant management program for this City changed significantly last October. We did not <br />have a formal policy, however, we did manage most of the lakes that had City property <br />adjacent to them, such as lakes next to parks. The Lakes Management Advisory Board <br />provided input that produced a policy over the past two years which was then adopted <br />by the City Commission. We now manage lakes that are either 50% of the linear footage <br />or 50% of the number of lots or more within the City. This encompasses almost every <br />
