RESOLUTION 18-3058 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE FY 2019/2021 AGREEMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />DISPATCHING SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter- <br />local agreements for the provision of services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office maintains seven days per week, twenty-four hours per <br />day law enforcement dispatching services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous for the City <br />and its residents to contract with the Sheriff's Office for the provision of law enforcement <br />dispatching services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the FY 2019/21 Agreement for Law Enforcement Dispatching <br />Services between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, as set <br />forth in Exhibit A and attached hereto, is hereby approved. <br />SECTION II. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry is hereby authorized to execute said <br />document on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any section or portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />passage and adoption. <br />
