RESOLUTION 18-3024 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />FEDERALLY -FUNDED SUBAWARD AND GRANT AGREEMENT <br />NUMBER Z0066 WITH THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR HURRICANE IRMA (DR <br />4337); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry was impacted by Hurricane Irma (DR 4337) <br />September 10-11, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a grant to local governments for debris <br />removal, emergency protective measures and repair or replacement of disaster damaged <br />facilities to the Florida Division of Emergency Management for Hurricane Irma (DR <br />4337); and <br />WHEREAS, Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement Number Z0066 <br />has been provided to the City for the first obligation of federal funds for reimbursement <br />of Hurricane Irma (DR4337) damages and subsequent modifications will be required to <br />this agreement with FEMA obligation of each reimbursement request until all damage <br />reimbursement requests have been obligated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby <br />approves Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement Number Z0066 between the <br />City and the Florida Division of Emergency Management for Hurricane Irma (DR 4337) <br />for debris removal, emergency protective measures and repair or replacement of disaster <br />damaged facilities, attached herewith, and authorizes the Finance Director or City <br />Manager to execute said agreement and related documents for and on behalf of the City <br />of Casselberry. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with <br />any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to <br />invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this <br />Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
