EX111Brr "A" <br />SRO DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />ITIES <br />In addition to the routine duties and responsibilities of AGI�NCY, a School Resource Officer <br />(SRO) will have the following specific duties and responsibilities: <br />1. The SRO shall at all times perform his/her duties in accordance with AGENCY'S standard <br />operating procedures. <br />2. The SRO shall maintain all law enforcement powers, duties and responsibilities inclusive <br />of his/her position as an officer while assigned to the school resource officer program. <br />3. The SRO shall undergo a criminal background check, drug testing, and a psychological <br />evaluation as outlined in F.S.1006.12(1)(c), prior to reporting to duty at. the assigned <br />school. <br />4. ".Che SCHOOL BOARD recognizes that the AGENCY may have training requirements <br />for deputies assigned as a School. Resource Officer which may or may not be completed <br />prior to the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. <br />5. The SRO shall be responsible to his/her agency in all matters relating to employment, <br />except that activities conducted by the SRO which are part of the regular school <br />instructional program shall be under the direction of the principal or his / her designee and <br />the Seminole County Safety and Security Captain. <br />6. The SRO duty hours will not exceed a. 43 hour work week corresponding to those days and <br />during those hours that the SRO's assigned school is in regular session. The SCHOOL. <br />BOARD will advise the AGENCY by May 15, 2019, of all applicable summer school <br />session days and schools which will be operating and thus require an SRO under this <br />Agreement. <br />a. The SRO provided shall, at a minimum., be equipped with a patrol vehicle, personal <br />weapon, radio, and such equipment issued by the AGENCY to SRO. Additionally, the <br />SRO so assigned shall maintain full fitness for duty in order to be able to respond to <br />crisis situations. The expectation of service is that a sworn law enforcement SRO <br />(preferably a trained. SRO) will be on campus daily, and provide continuous coverage <br />during school hours as set forth herein. If the AGENCY is unable to fulfill these <br />requirements, it will :inform the Safety and Security Captain in a timely manner and the <br />AGENCY shall adjust its compensation and payment reimbursement invoice to the <br />SCIIOOI, BOARD to reflect the service deficiency. <br />12 <br />
