RESOLUTION 18-3054 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE FLORIDA STATE LODGE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Commission and the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police have negotiated a proposed agreement modifying and extending the current agreement through September 30, 2021; and WHEREAS, the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed and submitted the agreement to the employees represented by the unity; and WHEREAS, the employees represented by the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police completed a voting process and the majority of the collected votes were in favor of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the agreement contributes to the City's strategic goals. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Casselberry and the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police for the term beginning October 1, 2018 and ending September 30, 2021 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document, attached as "Exhibit A", on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
