CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 27, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 18 <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 18-1492. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. No one <br />calve forward to address Ordinance 18-1492. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance <br />18-1492. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 18-1492 on second and <br />final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />B. Second Reading of Ordinance 18-1491 — Amending the Zoning Designation for <br />Properties Located at 1241, 1259, and 1265 State Road 436 (ZB 18-03) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1491 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER II, ARTICLE IV, <br />SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; AMENDING THE <br />ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM CITY OF CASSELBERRY PMX-H (PLANNED MIXED- <br />USE: HIGH INTENSITY) TO CITY OF CASSLEBERRY PMX-HIGH (PLANNED MIXED-USE: <br />HIGH RISE) FOR PARCELS GENERALLY LOCATED AT 1241, 1259 AND 1265 STATE ROAD <br />436, CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 18-1491 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, August 16, 2018. <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson gave an overview of Ordinance 18-1491 which amends the <br />Official Zoning Map from PMX-H (Planned Mixed -Use: High Intensity) to PMX-HIGH (Planned Mixed - <br />Use: High Rise) for four (4) properties generally located at 1241, 1259 and 1265 State Road 436. <br />Notification of the proposed zoning amendment was provided to the surrounding property owners within <br />500 feet and the Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted <br />unanimously at its meeting on June 13, 2018 to recommend approval of this amendment to the City <br />Commission. The request to amend the Official Zoning Map from PMX-H (Planned Mixed -Use: High <br />Intensity) to PMX-HIGH (Planned Mixed -Use: High Rise) for the subject properties is consistent with the <br />City of Casselberry Comprehensive Plan and the existing Major Thoroughfare Mixed-use (MTMU) Future <br />Land Use designation, compatible with the surrounding mix of land uses and zoning districts, and City <br />services are available at the subject properties and will not be negatively impacted. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption <br />of Ordinance 18-1491 on second reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />
