Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />November 8, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />Fifth Item of Business: CU 17.18: 426 Lakeport Cove. A conditional use request to allow a place of worship <br />located at 426 Lakeport Cove. Parcel ID 08-21-30-501-0000-001B <br />Ms. Christina Hyson, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated November 8, <br />2017, and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Ms. Hyson said staff recommends the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission approve CU 17-18 to allow a place of worship at 426 Lakeport Cove. She said <br />staffs recommendation is based on the staff report dated November 8, 2017, and the eight (8) conditions of approval <br />outlined in the staff report. <br />Mr. Bryan asked the applicant to come forward. Mr. Karel Perez, 426 Lakeport Cove, Casselberry, Florida <br />came forward. In response to the Commission's question, Mr. Perez said that he agrees with staffs <br />recommendation. <br />Mr. Bryan asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. No one came forward. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the size of the congregation and the residential zoning classification for <br />this property. Mr. Bryan asked for a motion to address CU 17-18. Mr. Phillips made a motion that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission approve CU 17-18 to allow a place of worship at 426 Lakeport Cove based on the findings of <br />fact and conclusions of the staff report dated November 8, 2017, and the eight (8) conditions of approval outlined in <br />the staff report. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Phillips amended his motion to include the three (3) Exhibits. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: SP 17-03: Axios Replat of 2905 Lakeview Drive and 6150 South U.S Highway 17.92. A <br />request to combine two (2) parcels between Lakeview Drive and U.S. Highway 17-92 into one (1) parcel. <br />Parcel ID's 17-21.30-509.OB00-0080 & 17.21.30-509-OBOO.0010 <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated November <br />8, 2017, and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes).
