City# LPA17-03. <br />Dear Mr. Eubanks, <br />In accordance with Chapter 163.3191, F.S., attached herewith is a proposed amendment <br />to the City's Comprehensive Plan, which is comprised of a strike -through underline draft <br />of both the Supporting Data and Analysis and Goals, Objectives and Policies, which have <br />been combined into a single, comprehensive document. Furthermore, please note the <br />following: <br />1. The City's Planning Commission, acting as the Local Planning Agency, held a <br />public hearing on the proposed amendment on April 12, 2017. On May 8, 2017, <br />the City Commission held a public hearing on the proposed amendment and <br />approved its transmittal to your department. <br />2. Additionally, on May 18, 2017, complete electronic copies of the proposed <br />amendment, including supporting data and analysis were mailed to: <br />• The East Central Florida Regional Planning Council <br />• St. Johns River Water Management District <br />• Florida Department of Transportation <br />® Florida Department of State <br />® Florida Department of Environmental Protection <br />® Florida Department of Education <br />® Seminole County <br />® School Board of Seminole County. <br />3. A summary of the proposed amendment is as follows: <br />LPA 17-03 (Proposed Ordinance 17-1457) <br />Florida law requires that every seven (7) years, cities and counties complete the <br />Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR), to determine how well the plan is meeting <br />state statutes and local needs. The last time the Casselberry Comprehensive Plan <br />underwent a complete update was in 2009. The City has amended the <br />
