RESOLUTION 18-3028
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY,
<br />FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF
<br />CASSELBERRY, SEMINOLE COUNTY AND THE ENTIRE CENTRAL FLORIDA
<br />COMMUNITY BY DR. E. ANN MCGEE.
<br />WHEREAS, DR. E. ANN MCGEE has honorably served as the President of Seminole State College since
<br />1996 and is only the second President in the College's 52 year history; and
<br />WHEREAS, DR. MCGEE has carried out the duties and responsibilities of President in an exemplary manner
<br />with unwavering devotion to all students of Seminole State College over the past 22 years; and
<br />WHEREAS, under the leadership of DR. MCGEE, the transition from a single campus community college
<br />to a state college institution with four campuses transpired, along with the continued expansion of online learning
<br />opportunities; and
<br />WHEREAS, during the tenure of DR. MCGEE the number of and variety of degrees and programs offered
<br />at Seminole State College has grown to over 200, including but not limited to, architecture, engineering, art, digital
<br />media, business, education, communications, information technology, health, automotive technology, liberal arts,
<br />performing arts, public safety, science and math, as well as adult high school, GED prep and English language studies,
<br />providing the citizens of the City of Casselberry, Seminole County and the entire Central Florida community with
<br />extraordinary and quality educational opportunities; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the feeling and sincere desire of the City of Casselberry, Florida, through its duly elected
<br />officials and on behalf of its citizens, to recognize the service and dedication of DR. E. ANN MCGEE.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
<br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, that the sincere commendation and appreciation of the City Commission, both for
<br />itself and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Casselberry, Florida, be and the same are hereby expressed to DR. E.
<br />ANN MCGEE, for her many contributions to Seminole State College; and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of the City of
<br />Casselberry and the original thereof delivered to DR. E. ANN MCGEE at an appropriate time established to recognize
<br />her service.
