WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry, Florida, is in a position to effectively and efficiently
<br />provide municipal services to the property described herein and the City Commission of the City of
<br />Casselberry, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City to seek to annex said property; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to, and in compliance with, the law, notice has been given by
<br />publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation notifying
<br />the public of this proposed Ordinance and of public hearings to be held at City Hall in the City of
<br />Casselberry; and
<br />WHEREAS, the provisions of this Ordinance and the actions taken herein are consistent
<br />with the City's Comprehensive Plan and State law; and
<br />WHEREAS, public hearings were held pursuant to the requirements of State law and in
<br />conformity with the published notice described above at which hearings the parties in interest and
<br />all others had an opportunity to be and were, in fact, heard.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1. The lands described in Schedule A (PIN: 21-21-30-300-0120-0000, PIN: 21-21-
<br />30-300-0100-0000, PIN: 21-21-30-300-0110-0000, PIN: 21-21-30-300-0130-0000, PIN: 21-21-30-
<br />300-013A-0000, PIN: 21-21-30-300-0140-0000, PIN: 21-21-30-300-0150-0000, PIN: 22-21-30-
<br />300-0110-0000, PIN: 22-21-30-300-011A-0000, and PIN: 21-21-30-300-014A-0000), and shown
<br />on the map in Schedule B attached hereto, be and they are hereby annexed to and included within
<br />the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry, Florida.
<br />Section 2. The Corporate limits of the City of Casselberry, Florida, be and they are hereby
<br />revised to include the land described in Section 1 hereof.
<br />Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida does hereby find that
<br />the lands described in Section 1 are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry,
<br />Florida, that said lands meet the criteria established by Chapter 171, Florida Statutes, that said lands
<br />should be annexed, and hereby consent to the annexation.
<br />Section 4. Upon annexation, the lands described in Section 1 shall retain a zoning and land
<br />use classification established by the Seminole County Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Land
<br />Use Plan until otherwise changed or amended by appropriate ordinance of the City of Casselberry,
<br />Florida.
<br />Section 5. All real property lying within the boundaries of the corporate limits of the City
<br />of Casselberry, Florida, as hereby revised, shall be assessed for payment of municipal ad valorem
<br />taxes pursuant to law.
<br />Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with
<br />the Office of the Secretary of the State of Florida, the Office of the Governor of the State of Florida,
<br />the Clerk of Court of Seminole County, Florida, the Board of County Commissioners of Seminole
<br />County, Florida, the Seminole County Property Appraiser and the Seminole County Tax Collector
<br />within 7 days from the effective date of the ordinance.
