WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order 17-2345, and Section 252.38(3)(a), Florida <br />Statutes, political subdivisions, such as the City of Casselberry, have the authority to exercise <br />certain powers and authority to safeguard the lives and property of its citizens and community; and <br />WHEREAS, to ensure the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare of the <br />citizens, and to timely and efficiently remove such vegetative and other tree debris throughout the <br />entire City, on September 25, 2017 via Resolution 17-2987, the City Commission authorized the <br />extension of the public state of emergency indefinitely; and <br />WHEREAS, all storm debris has been removed and recovery efforts have been completed; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection provided a letter to the <br />City confirming the closure of the disaster debris management site at the Casselberry Golf Club <br />as of December 13, 2017. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. State of Emergency. The Declaration of a State of Public Emergency <br />originally confirmed on September 11, 2017, extended on September 18, 2017, and indefinitely <br />extended on September 25, 2017 is hereby terminated. <br />SECTION 2. Conflicts. All prior resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith <br />are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. <br />SECTION 3. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION 4.
