CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 28, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 of 14 <br />Introduction: Resolution 17-2974 approves the agreement with Seminole State College for the use of their <br />Public Safety Training Complex in the amount of $2,067 for fiscal year 2017-2018, and authorizes the Mayor <br />to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: Funds for the use of the Seminole State College Public Safety Complex have been allocated <br />in the fiscal year 2017-2018 General Fund account number 001-0610-521.55-00 in the amount of $2,067. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 17-2974. <br />C. Resolution 17-2975 — 2017-2021 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement Establishing a <br />City/County/State Traffic Enforcement Unit <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A VOLUNTARY COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING A CITY/COUNTY/STATE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT UNIT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE CITIES OF ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE <br />MARY, LONGWOOD, OVIEDO, SANFORD, WINTER SPRINGS, THE UNIVERSITY OF <br />CENTRAL FLORIDA, THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, THE FLORIDA <br />HIGHWAY PATROL, THE SEMINOLE COUNTY TRAFFIC ENGINEERS, AND THE SANFORD <br />AIRPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 17-2975 approves the 2017-2021 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement establishing a <br />City/County/State Traffic Enforcement Unit with the Police Departments in the Cities of Altamonte Springs, <br />Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs, The University of Central Florida, the <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Seminole County Traffic Engineers, and the <br />Sanford Airport Police Department, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 17-2975. <br />D. Resolution 17-2976 —Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Amendment for a <br />Time Extension to the Agreement with the USDA NRCS United States Department <br />of Agriculture — Natural Resources Conservation Service for Gee Creek Erosion <br />Control <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT <br />FOR A TIME EXTENSION TO THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED <br />STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION <br />SERVICE FOR GEE CREEK EROSION CONTROL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />
