CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 8, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 16 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of the Budget <br />Calendar for FY 2018/2019. <br />F. Piggyback Purchase of Two Marked Police Vehicles <br />Introduction: Consideration to piggyback the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #FSA17-VEL25.0 <br />for the purchase of two Police vehicles in the amount of $60,100 and piggyback the City of Tallahassee <br />Contract #1489 with Dana Safety Supply, Inc. for associated emergency equipment and safety/security <br />upgrades in the amount of $20,728 necessary to adapt the vehicles to the Casselberry Police Department's <br />marked patrol unit standards using Municipal Impact Fee Funds in the total amount of $80,828 is requested. <br />Budget Impact: The FY 2018 Adopted Budget appropriated funds in the Municipal Impact Fee <br />Funds/Police Machinery & Equipment/Vehicles account #116-0610-521.67-22 for this purchase. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to piggyback the <br />Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #FSA17-VEL25.0 for the purchase of two Police vehicles totaling <br />$60,100 and to piggyback the City of Tallahassee contract #1489 with Dana Safety Supply Inc. for <br />necessary upgrades totaling $20,728, for a total amount of $80,828.00. <br />G. Piggyback Purchase of Seven Marked and Three Unmarked Police Vehicles <br />Introduction: Consideration to piggyback the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #FSA17-VEL25.0 <br />for the purchase of seven marked Police vehicles in the amount of $210,350 and three unmarked Police <br />vehicles in the amount of $89,160, and to piggyback the City of Tallahassee Contract #1489 with Dana <br />Safety Supply Inc. for associated emergency and safety/security upgrades in the amount of $99,321, <br />necessary to adapt the vehicles to the Casselberry Police Department's marked and unmarked patrol unit <br />standards, using Capital Lease Funds in the total amount of $398,831 is requested. <br />Budget Impact: The FY 2018 Adopted Budget provided for the purchase of 10 Police Patrol vehicles in <br />the Equipment Replacement Fund/Police Machinery & Equipment/Vehicles account #302-0610-521.67-22 <br />in the amount of $447,000. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to piggyback the <br />Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #FSA17-VEL25.0 for the purchase of seven (7) marked Police <br />vehicles and three (3) unmarked Police vehicles in the amount of $299,510, and to piggyback the City of <br />Tallahassee Contract #1489 with Dana Safety Supply Inc. for associated emergency equipment and <br />safety/security upgrades in the amount of $99,321, for a total amount of $398,831. <br />H. Annual Report of Police Officers' and Firefighters' Pension Plan Activity for FY <br />2017 <br />Introduction: The City of Casselberry Police Officers' and Firefighters' Pension Plan Annual Report of <br />Investment Activity for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2017 is submitted for City Commission review <br />
