CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 30, 2017 — Special Meeting <br />Page 22 of 23 <br />advised that these assessments were still actively being done for Hurricane Irma in the City <br />of Casselberry, as well as throughout basically the entire state which was affected by the <br />storm. He added that the City of Casselberry had been fortunate in that its emergency <br />contractor had not abandoned the City as had so many others. He expressed appreciation <br />to those citizens who had expressed opinions about the City's recovery efforts and assured <br />the public that the City would definitely take their input into consideration as they <br />continued to evaluate and assess the process for future improvements. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Thanked Mr. John Casselberry for caring about the City and stating she was pleased the City <br />was able to acquire some of the Casselberry property. <br />• Commended City staff for their efforts on debris cleanup relating to Hurricane Irma. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Reported he had attended his first Florida League of Cities Institute for Elected Municipal <br />Officials October 13 -15th in Jacksonville. <br />Advised he would be attending a class sponsored by Florida Hospital on October 31 st <br />called On the Road to a Healthy Central Florida — Designing Great citiesfor All Ages and <br />would report back to the Commission on what he learned. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Reminded everyone of three very successful events which had taken place recently in Lake <br />Concord Park: <br />o Latin Jazz and Art Festival on September 30' featuring Arturo Sandoval; <br />o Central Florida Top Brewer Beer Festival on October 7111, with proceeds benefitting <br />Friends of the Park; and <br />o IlluminArt Spotlight on Sculpture Exhibit on October 21st <br />Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />No report. <br />There being no further business, Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 6:27 p.m. <br />
