RESOLUTION 17 -2978 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND CASSELBERRY LITTLE LEAGUE FOR THE USE OF FACILITIES AT WIRZ PARK AND SECRET LAKE PARK; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Casselberry Little League has provided the youth of Casselberry with the opportunity to play baseball and softball for well over a decade; and WHEREAS, on August 24, 2015, via Resolution 15 -2769, the City Commission entered into an agreement with Casselberry Little League for the use of the ball fields at Wirz and Secret Lake Parks, respectively; and WHEREAS, the agreement with Casselberry Little League expired on August 24, 2017; and WHEREAS, the City and Casselberry Little League desire to continue its long- standing partnership; and WHEREAS, Casselberry Little League has submitted an agreement for a one (1) year term with an option of an additional one (1) year extension; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the agreement presented by Casselberry Little League and finds it favorable to meet the needs of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the agreement between the City of Casselberry and Casselberry Little League and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
