RESOLUTION 17 -2972 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A <br />VOLUNTARY COOPERATION AND OPERATIONAL ASSISTANCE <br />MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into a Voluntary Cooperation and <br />Operational Assistance Mutual Aid Agreement with The University of Central Florida to extend <br />mutual aid in the form of law enforcement services and resources to adequately respond to <br />continuing multi jurisdictional law enforcement problems, so as to protect the public peace and <br />safety, and preserve the lives and property of the people. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />2017 -2019 Voluntary Cooperation and Operational Assistance Combined Mutual Aid <br />Agreement with The University of Central Florida. <br />SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this <br />ATTEST: <br />A <br />r„ <br />Donna G.
