RESOLUTION 17 -2971 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FY2017/2018 ADDENDUM TO <br />THE AGREEMENT FOR POLICE DISPATCHING SERVICES <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter - <br />local agreements for the provision of services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sheriffs Office maintains seven days per week, twenty -four hours per <br />day law enforcement dispatching services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous for the City <br />and its residents to contract with the Sheriffs Office for the provision of police dispatching <br />services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the FY <br />2017/18 Addendum to the Agreement for Dispatching Services with the Seminole County <br />Sheriff s Office, as set forth in Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on <br />behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section or portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />passage and adoption. <br />
