RESOLUTION 17-2970 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE PARKS, RECREATION, PATHWAYS AND OPEN SPACES MASTER PLAN BY TOA DESIGN GROUP, LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on July 25, 2016 via Resolution 16-1886, the City Commission awarded the design of the Parks, Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan to TOA Design Group, LLC to develop a comprehensive plan; and WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC inventoried and evaluated the existing parks system and identified improvement priorities and future needs; and WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC has conducted an active outreach program to the community of Casselberry; and WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC has developed a Parks, Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan for the City that identifies a future parks system that responds to changing demographics and future preferences; and WHEREAS, the City Commission accepts the Parks, Recreation, Pathways, and Open Spaces Master Plan as a guiding document for future park development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby accepts the Parks, Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", as a guiding document for future park development. SECTION II. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
