RESOLUTION 17-2970 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE PARKS, RECREATION, <br />PATHWAYS AND OPEN SPACES MASTER PLAN BY TOA DESIGN <br />GROUP, LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on July 25, 2016 via Resolution 16-1886, the City Commission awarded the <br />design of the Parks, Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan to TOA Design Group, <br />LLC to develop a comprehensive plan; and <br />WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC inventoried and evaluated the existing parks system <br />and identified improvement priorities and future needs; and <br />WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC has conducted an active outreach program to the <br />community of Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, TOA Design Group, LLC has developed a Parks, Recreation, Pathways and <br />Open Spaces Master Plan for the City that identifies a future parks system that responds to changing <br />demographics and future preferences; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission accepts the Parks, Recreation, Pathways, and Open <br />Spaces Master Plan as a guiding document for future park development. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby accepts the Parks, <br />Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", as a guiding <br />document for future park development. <br />SECTION II. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
