The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet <br />Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Chairman Daphne Keys called the meeting to order at <br />7:10 pm. <br />Board Members Present: <br />Chairman Daphne Keys <br />Ana Van Meter <br />Dia Nordstrom <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Nancy Valentine <br />Ted Weeks <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Joanne Duncan, Recording Secretary <br />Guest <br />Nathan Van Meter <br />Audience <br />John Casselberry <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ana Van Meter moved to approve the May 10, 2016 minutes as written. Dia Nordstrom <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />ms for Discussion: <br />D. Keys asked for 30 seconds silence for the Orlando shooting victims. <br />® RunYak event on schedule as planned, Sat. Aug. 13th at Secret Lake Park — <br />kayaking and lake activities. <br />® 5K Run event — meetings in progress. Lost Lake route is anticipated. This event <br />has large attendance expectations, approximately 2000 people. <br />® Latin Jazz Concert, Sat., Sept 10th — "Bridging the Cultures" <br />® Annual Golf Tournament, Friday, Sept 9th <br />Board Member Reports <br />Linda reported that our Annual Halloween event may be taken over by another group. <br />Summer Camp is going well and is completely full. Art Academy is also going very well. <br />The Employee Art Show is up in City Hall — 111 pieces are exhibited. <br />The Wirz pool opened as scheduled. Swim lessons to start next week. There is a bid <br />out for tennis court resurfacing at Secret Lake Park. <br />
