City of Casselberry <br />Parks & Recreation Advisory Board <br />Regular Meeting — May 9, 2017 <br />Lake Park. In the future, they expressed an interest in completing a larger project for the <br />community. <br />6. Staff Report <br />Wine on Nine went well —weather was nice. Friends of the Park volunteers attended to assist <br />with event. The event is a great way to market the Casselberry Golf Club to visitors outside of <br />the City. They are currently hosting a kid's clinic and would like to host a women's clinic. <br />7. Board Member Reports <br />Chairman Van Meter asked if there the City would consider putting more trashcans in the park <br />to help keep down the litter. <br />Member Nordstrom mentioned each day, it gets hotter and dogs need fresh water. She said <br />she spoke to the Friends of the Park and they were interested in purchasing a drinking fountain <br />with a pet bowl. <br />• Vice -Chairman Holmes extended an apology from Casselberry Elementary for not being able to <br />participate in the past EarthFest. She said that it was a very busy time for them. South <br />Seminole Middle School teacher that assisted with the ladybug booth loved the event and will <br />help next year. <br />Member Valentine inquired about an update for the Park's Master Plan. Ms. Moore responded <br />that the consultants are still working on the plan. <br />8. Audience Participation <br />None <br />9. Adiournment <br />Member Holmes motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m. Motion was seconded by Member <br />Valentine.
