shoreline project at North Lake Triplet, with student volunteers.
D. Stormwater Master Plan: The scope has been approved by City
Commission. Part of it is for Lake Management. Instead of contracting
lake management, possibly bring it in house. We would like to get this
completed by the end of the fiscal year, September 2017.
Audience Participation: John Casselberry 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry. During
Tropical Storm Fay, there was a collapse of a driveway that had a pipe in it because the
water from Columbus Harbor and Prairie Lake that flowed in Lake Katherine in a way
that succeeded any flood control calculations. Regarding getting money to get Lake
Katherine cleaned up, Longwood is part of that drainage basin and so is a lot of
Seminole County around Lake Hodge, as far out as Altamonte. I do know about any
legal requirement for weed control, as far as State. The City is on their own. There are
ways to calculate how much water goes down stream. It seems easier to get funding
through State control, even if the government does not want to pay for it.
7. Future LMAB Agenda Items: Ms. Williams asked if there were any requests for future
agenda items, and there were none.
Chairman gave appreciation to Ms. Williams as the facilitator.
8. Adjournment: Mr. Blais make a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Mr. Lasure
and unanimously passed.
Minutes approved by Lakes Management Advisory Board onr .
A:
D. Denyse Wils(Yn, Recording Secretary
4
Date
