2015-16 CRA ACTIVITIES <br />F__&1iA Term Extension <br />Seminole County Commission approved a two year extension in 2015, to December 11, 2017. In <br />that same time frame the CRA has seen increased growth by the development of Lake Concord <br />Park, including Integra Lakes Apartments, Casselberry Bainbridge Apartments, a new luxury <br />apartment complex, two new fast casual restaurants and increased interest in redevelopment <br />within the district. <br />To capitalize on the economic redevelopment within the district, the City of Casselberry staff be- <br />gan researching justification for this request. City of Casselberry City Commission requested an <br />additional 8 year extension to December 11, 2025 from Seminole County Commission in Decem- <br />ber of 2016. The extension was granted and the CRA is poised to receive over $9 million in tax <br />revenue over the eight years. <br />CRA Plan Update <br />Staff began working in 2016 on producing an update to the CRA Redevelopment Plan. The CRA Re- <br />development Plan based the request and future development within the CRA on capitalizing on cur- <br />rent redevelopment interest within the CRA. To further the CRA's interests, the CRA Board identified <br />three strategies for incentivizing redevelopment within the district.
