ORDINANCE 17-1455 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 86-277, ROUTING AND CONSTRUCTION OF DIVISION 8, RECLAIMED WATER USE, ARTICLE III, WATER, CHAPTER 86, UTILITIES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, TO PROVIDE FLEXIBILITY FOR RECLAIMED WATER HOOK-UPS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City would like to be able to offer commercial businesses with functioning backflow preventers the possibility of being connected to the City's reclaimed water supply, despite having another irrigation source, if approved by the Public Works Director; and WHEREAS, words with double underlined type shall constitute additions to the original text and strike flffough type shall constitute deletions to the original text, and asterisks (* * *) indicate that text shall remain unchanged from the language existing prior to adoption of this Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Section 86-277, Routing and Construction of Division 8, Reclaimed Water Use, Article III, Water, Chapter 86, Utilities, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sect. 86-277. Routing and construction. *** (e) No property shall be served by both a reclaimed water irrigation meter and another irrigation source (i.e. a potable water irrigation meter, irrigation well, either potable or nonpotable lake source), except for commercial properties with approved backflow preventers, where preapproved by the Public Works Director. SECTION II. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re -lettered to accomplish such intention; that the word, "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section," "Article," or other appropriate word. SECTION III. CONFLICTS. All Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict with any provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
