Introduction: Resolution 16-2886 approves the use of available GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) over-all project contingency funds of $407,999.20, related specifically to the three contingency fund requests listed in Contingency Change Order No. 002 in the total amount of $87,846.80, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #16-054 will decrease the Lake Concord Park contingency allocation in various amounts and increase the Water and Sewer Utility Fund Public Works Building/Improvements account #401-0750-536.67-35 in the amount of $35,681 (project CC1502/line 7; the Lake Concord Park Fund Infrastructure account #306-0720-541.63-40 (Project #CC1501/line 1) in the amount of $17,502 and the Infrastructure account #306-0751-536.63-40 (Project #CC1505/line 22) in the amount of $34,664. Copies of Budget Amendment #16-054 with schedules detailing affected accounts and amounts and Change Order No. 002 are attached to and made a part of these minutes. BA #16-054 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval of Contingency Change Order #2 to the contract with Wharton -Smith, Inc. for the Lake Concord Park project. This is for the relocation of fiber optic cable, reclaimed along Signature Street and furnishing and cabinetry for the Public Works Building.
