RESOLUTION 16-2881 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH LAYNE INLINER, LLC; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City's gravity sewer collection system suffers from inflow and <br />infiltration problems that require rehabilitation; and <br />WHEREAS, both cured -in -place -pipe (CIPP) and epoxy liners are utilized throughout the <br />country to rehabilitate many gravity sewer systems; and <br />WHEREAS, CIPP and epoxy liners have previously been used in many parts of the City's <br />collection system and its installation has been successful; and <br />WHEREAS, Layne Inliner, LLC has also previously been used for substantial <br />construction of CIPP liners within the City's collection system; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has enlisted Layne Inliner, LLC to provide sanitary <br />sewer, storm sewer, manhole and lift station wet well rehabilitation services in accordance with the <br />Town of Longboat Key, Florida Cooperative Contract number RFP #12-011; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed the Agreement with Layne Inliner, LLC <br />which is valid through February 27, 2017 for an amount not to exceed $1,850,000, and found it <br />favorable to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Agreement with Layne Inliner, LLC for an amount not to exceed $1,850,000 by piggybacking the <br />Town of Longboat Key, Florida Cooperative Contract number RFP #12-011 and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
