RESOLUTION 16-2880 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF <br />SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 7 TO THE STANDARD <br />CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />UTILITIES SERVICES WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR BIO <br />SOLIDS BYPASS DESIGN SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, currently the bio solids from the Water Reclamation Facility are transferred <br />via force main to the Five Points Lift Station which pumps to the South Seminole North Orange <br />County Wastewater Transmission Authority's (SSNOCWTA) force main; and <br />WHEREAS, this lift station can be redirected to the Seminola Force Main in order to <br />increase flow to the Water Reclamation Facility, however this would result in re -pumping the bio <br />solids; and <br />WHEREAS, to eliminate re -pumping, the bio solids can be transferred directly into the <br />SSNOCWTA's force main; and <br />WHEREAS, this would allow the City to bring in more wastewater to the Water <br />Reclamation Facility in order to produce more reclaimed water and decrease dependency on <br />SSNOCWTA's force main during high flow conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. (Reiss) maintains a continuing professional utilities <br />sei vices contract with the City of Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff requested and obtained a cost proposal for Supplemental <br />Agreement No. 7 from Reiss, for a not -to -exceed amount of $38,955.00, without prior authorization <br />to provide design services for the bio solids bypass addition; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed the proposed Supplemental Agreement No. 7 <br />with Reiss and has found it favorable to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 7 to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Continuing Professional <br />Utilities Services between the City of Casselberry and Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Bio Solids Bypass <br />Design Services for a not -to -exceed amount of $38,955.00, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said <br />document on behalf of the City. <br />
