RESOLUTION 16-2878 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL RFP -2016-0028 AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH MOORE STEPHENS <br />LOVELACE, P.A. FOR ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING <br />SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires to enter into an agreement with <br />Certified Public Accountants to perform accounting and auditing services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry issued a Request for Proposal, RFP -2016- <br />0028, and received five (5) proposals; and <br />WHEREAS, after a competitive bid selection process, the City's Audit Selection <br />Committee chose Moore Stephens Lovelace, P.A. as the Certified Public Accountants <br />responsible for providing accounting and auditing services to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the term of the agreement with Moore Stephens Lovelace, P.A. will <br />become effective on July 1, 2016 and will remain in effect for a period of three years until <br />June 30, 2019 with the option of two one-year extensions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby awards <br />RFP -2016-0028 to, and approves the agreement with, Moore Stephens Lovelace, P.A. for <br />accounting and auditing services, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on <br />behalf of the City. <br />SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any <br />of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION M. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to <br />invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
