RESOLUTION 16 -2834 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT #1 TO AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND <br />UNIVERSAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES, INC. FOR PRIMARY <br />BUILDING CODE ADMINISTRATOR AND OTHER RELATED <br />SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the current agreement with Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. to provide primary <br />Building Code Administrator and other related services for the City of Casselberry was approved on <br />February 26, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement expires February 25, 2016 but allows for four one -year extensions; and <br />WHEREAS the City of Casselberry desires to extend the agreement with Universal Engineering <br />Sciences, Inc. for another year; and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment #1 is provided to extend the terms of the agreement with Universal <br />Engineering Sciences, Inc. for an additional one (1) year and will expire February 25, 2017. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTON I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Amendment #1 to <br />the Agreement with Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. for primary Building Code Administrator and <br />other related services and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effects <br />of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V.
