CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS /COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Stated that it may be beneficial to allow more options for colors for the Lake Concord Park (City <br />Center) project than those allowed by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and shown on <br />the current artist's renderings of the project. He asked that the Commission keep an open mind in the <br />event the developer would desire to introduce some different colors to the project. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />• Reported he had attended the Florida League of Cities conference and had attended multiple <br />workshops, mainly focusing on economic development. He stated he had been proud to serve as the <br />City's voting delegate, and had enjoyed the networking opportunities with other municipalities. <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Reported she had also attended the Florida League of Cities conference and had found the workshops <br />on city use of social media and engaging the public to be especially interesting and helpful. <br />Commented that planning of the development of the Lake Concord Park (City Center) project were in <br />the final stages and thanked staff and all those responsible for getting it to this point. She added that <br />the project was going to be an important catalyst in the economic development of the area and she <br />wanted it to be something really different and special. She noted that she agreed with Commissioner <br />Aramendia about the color palette, that it should be something new and flesh so that the project would <br />encourage people to come into the community which would in turn boost the economy. <br />Vice Mayor Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Agreed with Commissioners Aramendia and Hufford about the color palette, noting that when the <br />developers had addressed the Commission she had suggested that they try and coordinate the project <br />with the colors and architecture of City Hall, so it would be a seamless transition between the Lake <br />Concord Park (City Center) project and the municipal complex. She added that she wanted the project <br />to be the very best, not mediocre, as it would be around for at least 50 years. <br />
