ORDINANCE NO. 07-1215 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />PART III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3 -10.9 OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS" BY REPEALING SECTION (A)(2), "RECREATIONAL VEHICLES <br />AND VESSELS ", SECTION (A)(3), "CAMPING VEHICLES" AND SECTION 3- <br />10.9(B), "PARKING AND STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, <br />VESSELS, AND CAMPING VEHICLES IN MULTIFAMILY DEVELOPMENT <br />REQUIREMENTS "; ESTABLISHING SECTION 2, "RECREATIONAL <br />EQUIPMENT ", PROVIDING A DEFINITION FOR RECREATIONAL <br />EQUIPMENT; PROVIDING PARKING LOCATIONS IN SINGLE - FAMILY AND <br />MULTI - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has a specific important governmental interest in the regulation of <br />recreational equipment, including recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, and the like in residential neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires to enhance the economic value of the community and to <br />protect its citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that recreational equipment should be parked to screen the recreational <br />equipment to the greatest degree possible to protect the residential districts; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to require permanent use of trailers to be in a licensed park but also wants to <br />provide an opportunity for temporary use of a recreational vehicle or trailer; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that permanent parking locations on residential properties affect the <br />appearance of a neighborhood and there is a need to provide restrictions as to the location for recreational vehicle <br />and equipment parking; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a duly noticed public hearing on the <br />proposed changes set forth herein and considered advice of staff, citizens, and all interested parties submitting <br />written and oral comments and supporting data and analysis, and after complete deliberation, hereby finds the <br />requested changes consistent with the City of Casselberry's Comprehensive Plan, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />Ordinance No. 07 -1215 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
