(a) No person under the age of 18 shall be permitted to engage in soliciting or peddling except as <br />provided in this Section. <br />(b) A permit shall be obtained by a sponsoring person, company, or organization for the conduct of <br />any peddling or solicitation activities involving, in whole or in part, a sales force of one or more persons <br />under 18 years of age. <br />(c) The sponsor shall be responsible for supervising and controlling the conduct of all persons, <br />including juveniles, soliciting under the sponsor's permit. <br />(d) The sponsor shall provide to each juvenile in its sale force the permit issued to the sponsor by <br />the City. The sponsor shall also require all juveniles in its sales force to carry personal identification which <br />includes the juvenile's full name, date of birth, a+d residence address employer and the name and permit <br />number of their adult sponsor. <br />(e) The sponsor shall comply with the requirements of any applicable Florida laws pertaining to <br />and protecting juveniles. <br />(D For the purposes of this Section, the term juvenile shall be defined as a person under the age <br />of 18 and of legal working age as determined by the U.S. Labor Department. <br />(g1 At all times while a iuvenile is engaged in soliciting or peddling. an adult of at least 21 years of <br />age shall be within 200 feet of, and within sight of, the juvenile solicitors that they are sponsoring. <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Ordinance proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of <br />any other Section or part of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of <br />the Code of Ordinance of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that the Sections of this Ordinance may be <br />renumbered or re- lettered to accomplish such intention; that the word, "Ordinance" may be changed to <br />"Section," "Article," or other appropriate word. <br />SECTION 4. CONFLICTS. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE.
