ORDINANCE 15 -1422 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF PUBLIC FOR THE PARCELS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the properties described in Section 1 are within the corporate boundaries of the City of Casselberry; and WHEREAS, such properties should be consistent with land uses of neighboring parcels to allow for the most appropriate future development of the site; and WHEREAS, properties provided in Section 1 of this ordinance are less than 10 acres, requiring a small scale amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, Section 163.3187, Florida Statutes, establishes a process for adoption of small scale comprehensive plan amendments including amendments to the future land use map (FLUM); and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission / Local Planning Agency has held a public hearing with due public notice to consider this FLUM amendment; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the question of amending the City of Casselberry Future Land Use Map designations of the property hereinafter described, has been duly held by the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and at such hearing, interested parties and citizens for and /or against the proposed establishment of the City of Casselberry Future Land Use Map designation were heard; and WHEREAS, after said Public Hearing, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, has held a public hearing to consider the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and has determined that the future land use designation of said properties provided in Section I, herein, shall be established as specified as Public, as that designation is defined in Future Land Use Element Objective FLU 1, as amended and supplemented, of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Casselberry, Florida; and WHEREAS, such amendments are permitted, subject to the provisions of Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
