ORDINANCE 15 -1422 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO <br />AMEND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP ESTABLISHING THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF PUBLIC FOR THE PARCELS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the properties described in Section 1 are within the corporate boundaries of <br />the City of Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, such properties should be consistent with land uses of neighboring parcels <br />to allow for the most appropriate future development of the site; and <br />WHEREAS, properties provided in Section 1 of this ordinance are less than 10 acres, <br />requiring a small scale amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.3187, Florida Statutes, establishes a process for adoption of <br />small scale comprehensive plan amendments including amendments to the future land use map <br />(FLUM); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission / Local Planning Agency has held a <br />public hearing with due public notice to consider this FLUM amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the question of amending the City of Casselberry <br />Future Land Use Map designations of the property hereinafter described, has been duly held by <br />the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and at such hearing, interested parties <br />and citizens for and /or against the proposed establishment of the City of Casselberry Future Land <br />Use Map designation were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, after said Public Hearing, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />Florida, has held a public hearing to consider the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and has <br />determined that the future land use designation of said properties provided in Section I, herein, <br />shall be established as specified as Public, as that designation is defined in Future Land Use <br />Element Objective FLU 1, as amended and supplemented, of the Comprehensive Plan of the City <br />of Casselberry, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, such amendments are permitted, subject to the provisions of Chapter 163 of <br />the Florida Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
