ORDINANCE 15 -1424
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY,
<br />FLORIDA; AMENDING PART II, CITY OF CASSELBERRY
<br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION,
<br />ARTICLE IV, BOARDS, COMMITTEES AND COMMISSIONS,
<br />DIVISION 4, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (CRA),
<br />SECTION 2 -183 TO DESIGNATE THE CASSELBERRY
<br />GOVERNMENTAL BODY (CITY COMMISSION) AS THE CRA
<br />BOARD OF AGENCY COMMISSIONERS AND ELIMINATE
<br />SECTION 2 -184, TERMS OF OFFICE; VACANCIES,
<br />REAPPOINTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION,
<br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida adopted Ordinance
<br />95 -851, creating a Community Redevelopment Agency (the "CRA ") to carry out and effectuate the
<br />purposes of community redevelopment within the boundaries of the District; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners, by Resolution 95 -R-
<br />255, delegated to the City the right and authorization to exercise powers as described and provided
<br />in Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes, such powers to include the power to create and establish
<br />a Community Redevelopment Agency; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, by Resolution 15-
<br />2691, requested the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners to authorize the
<br />Casselberry City Commission (governing body) to serve as the Board to the Casselberry
<br />Community Redevelopment Agency; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners, by Resolution
<br />#2015 -R -50 on March 10, 2015, did authorize the Casselberry City Commission to serve in the
<br />requested capacity; and
<br />WHEREAS, Part II, City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Administration, provides criteria
<br />for the establishment of the City's Community Redevelopment Agency Board, terms of office,
<br />vacancies, and reappointments; and
<br />WHEREAS, words with double underlined ite shall constitute additions to the original
<br />text and strike ,-hreia gh shall constitute deletions to the original text.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the City Commission of the City of
<br />Casselberry, Florida:
<br />SECTION 1. That Section 2 -183, Board of agency commissioners, Article IV, Boards,
<br />Committees and Commissions, Chapter 2, Administration, Part II, Code of Ordinances of the City
<br />of Casselberry, Florida shall be amended as follows:
