Resolution 15 -2820 — Change Order No 1 to Agreement with Wharton Smith Inc. for Construction of Lake Concord Park and Signature Street Projects and Related Budget Amendment #16 -025 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. I TO THE GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE TO THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WHARTON SMITH, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAKE CONCORD PARK AND TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE SIGNATURE STREET PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 16 -2820 approves Change Order No. 1 to the agreement with Wharton Smith, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $316,308.90 for an increase in the funding for additional material, labor, equipment and supervision to remediate the contaminated portion of the Lake Concord Park project and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration of related Budget Amendment #16 -025 is also requested. Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #16 -025 will increase the General Fund /Community Development Professional Fees account #001- 0210 - 515.31 -04 and decrease the Non - Departmental Contingency Reserve Account #001- 0190 - 519.58 -00 in the amount of $316,309. BA # 16 -025 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide fiinding for Wharton Smith, Change Order #1 for Lake Concord Park Development in the amount of $316,309 for the cleanup of the former Shell Station Site.
