Ordinance 16 -1437 — Official Zoning Map Amendment for Property Located at 5655 <br />S US Highway 17 -92 (ZB 15 -04) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 15 -1437 by title as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2 -4.3, <br />UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; ESTABLISHING THE ZONING <br />CLASSIFICATION OF PMX -HIGH (PLANNED MIXED -USE: HIGH RISE) FOR THE PARCELS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Development Services Manager Randy Woodruff gave a brief overview of Ordinance 16- <br />1437, explaining that the ordinance proposed a zoning map amendment for approximately 21 acres of land <br />located at 5655 U.S. Highway 17 -92. He stated that the zoning change from PMX -H High Intensity to PMX <br />High Rise was proposed to accommodate a proposed mixed use development of commercial and apartments. <br />He added that Ordinance 16 -1437 was compatible with the City's Comprehensive Plan, surrounding property <br />owners within 500 feet had been notified, and the required ad was placed in the Orlando Sentinel. He advised <br />that the City Manager and the Community Development Director were recommending approval of Ordinance <br />16 -1437 on first reading and he was available for any questions the Commission might have about the <br />amendment. <br />
