RESOLUTION 15 -2809 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL <br />AGREEMENT NO. 49 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING <br />CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CPH, INC. FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE <br />SEMINOLA FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Wastewater Transmission Master Plan was finalized in July 2013 and the <br />Seminola Force Main Replacement project was a top priority project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminola force main conveys raw wastewater from the Seminola pump station <br />to the City's Water Reclamation Facility or the Five Points pump station that further conveys the raw <br />wastewater to the City of Orlando Iron Bridge Regional Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission approved design of the Seminola Force Main Replacement <br />Project on May 12, 2014 via Resolution 14 -2606; and <br />WHEREAS, design of the Seminola Force Main Replacement Project has been completed and <br />Public Works staff is preparing to advertise for bids for construction of the project; and <br />WHEREAS, CPH, Inc. has successfully performed construction engineering inspection (CEI) <br />services on major pipeline projects for the City in previous years; and <br />WHEREAS, a proposal for Supplemental Agreement No. 49 in an amount not to exceed <br />$113,063.50 without prior authorization for construction engineering inspection services for the <br />Seminola Force Main Replacement Project was provided by CPH, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 49 and finds it <br />favorable to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberiy hereby approves Supplemental <br />Agreement No. 49 to the Agreement for Continuing Consultant Engineering Services with CPH, Inc. for <br />an amount not to exceed $113,063.50 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of <br />the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
