RESOLUTION 15 -2812 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 50 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CPH, INC. FOR THE NORTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT HIGH SERVICE PUMP REPLACMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry maintains three potable water treatment plants that provide potable water to City residents and customers; and WHEREAS, the North Water Treatment Plant is one of the three and provides treated potable water via three high service pumps; and WHEREAS, the existing three high service pumps are over 20 years old and have exceeded their service life; and WHEREAS, only one of the existing high service pumps is controlled with a variable frequency drive which allows for more accurate control over the pump motor; and WHEREAS, the existing pipe network leading from the pumps does not maintain a common outflow pipe for all three pumps; and WHEREAS, replacement of the existing high service pumps and correction of the current deficiencies requires engineering design work to outline the necessary improvements; and WHEREAS, the City has an Agreement for Continuing Consulting Engineering Services with the City with CPH, Inc.; and WHEREAS, CPH, Inc. previously designed improvements for the City's water treatment plants with success; and WHEREAS, CPH, Inc. has provided a cost proposal for Supplemental Agreement No. 50 in an amount not to exceed $29,546 without prior authorization for engineering design services for the North Water Treatment Plant High Service Pump Replacement Project; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 50 and finds it favorable to meet the needs of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No.50 to the Agreement for Continuing Consulting Engineering
