RESOLUTION 15 -2812 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL <br />AGREEMENT NO. 50 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING <br />CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CPH, INC. FOR <br />THE NORTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT HIGH SERVICE <br />PUMP REPLACMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry maintains three potable water treatment plants that <br />provide potable water to City residents and customers; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Water Treatment Plant is one of the three and provides treated <br />potable water via three high service pumps; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing three high service pumps are over 20 years old and have <br />exceeded their service life; and <br />WHEREAS, only one of the existing high service pumps is controlled with a variable <br />frequency drive which allows for more accurate control over the pump motor; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing pipe network leading from the pumps does not maintain a <br />common outflow pipe for all three pumps; and <br />WHEREAS, replacement of the existing high service pumps and correction of the current <br />deficiencies requires engineering design work to outline the necessary improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has an Agreement for Continuing Consulting Engineering Services <br />with the City with CPH, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, CPH, Inc. previously designed improvements for the City's water treatment <br />plants with success; and <br />WHEREAS, CPH, Inc. has provided a cost proposal for Supplemental Agreement No. 50 <br />in an amount not to exceed $29,546 without prior authorization for engineering design services for <br />the North Water Treatment Plant High Service Pump Replacement Project; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 50 and finds <br />it favorable to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Supplemental Agreement No.50 to the Agreement for Continuing Consulting Engineering <br />
